The alcohol &drug prevention program are available to assist

people who are pursuing a drug and alcohol free life-style.

Services include referrals to other agencies; assistance for those

requiring a treatment program; supportive counselling; aftercare

support; self-help groups; sharing circles; seasonal events such

as feasts and ceremonies.

 

Mission Statement of Alcohol & Drug Prevention Program:

 

To provide substance abuse services through education,

prevention, and intervention to Native individuals and their families

within the community: to provide healthier alternatives for a substance free lifestyle.

 

Goals:

To develop and present substance abuse education programs to the community

To enhance inter-agency referrals and networking within the substance abuse community in addressing substance abuse

To promote alternative lifestyle by providing substance free social  activities

To provide a continuum of care for substance abuse to individual and their families

To enhance program accountability and credibility
